Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Architect to lead construction-phase architectural services for a large-scale mixed-use development in multiple possible bases including San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Glendale.

The role requires 12+ years in architectural practice, US licensure, and strong expertise in retail and multi-family residential components with CMAR or similar delivery models. You will oversee documentation, codes, and coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture required.
• US architectural licensure required.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in architectural practice.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale mixed-use projects with emphasis on retail and multi-family residential components.
• Experience working on projects delivered through CMAR or similar delivery models.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, documentation standards, construction coordination, and project delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural construction-phase services for a large-scale mixed-use development.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure design intent, functionality, safety, and quality are maintained throughout construction.
• Review and oversee architectural documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and sustainability standards.
• Support construction teams by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and helping resolve site and coordination issues.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to address technical and delivery challenges.
• Contribute to quality assurance and risk management across the construction phase of the project.
