Job Title: Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect

Location: 100% remote

Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possibility of extension depends on the performance and the manager

Pay rate: $80 to $85 /hr on W2

Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer / Technical Architect provides leadership in the technical design, selection, and application of information systems to meet complex business and system requirements. This role facilitates technical reviews across the organization to ensure system architecture aligns with enterprise standards and industry best practices. The individual plays a key role in strategic technical planning and contributes to cross-functional project collaboration and execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership in system architecture, software design principles, and development methodologies.
• Guide the selection, development, and application of information systems within the assigned division or team.
• Ensure systems align and integrate with enterprise architectural standards and long-term technology strategies.
• Develop and present technical proposals, including business case justifications, to secure stakeholder approval.
• Collaborate across departments to gain alignment and deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.
• Participate in committees or working groups to establish technical standards, promote data integration, and coordinate cross-functional projects.
• Actively contribute to technical teams to support project execution and innovation.
• Serve as a recognized technical expert and advisor within the organization.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience building distributed software systems using n-tier architectures.
• Expert-level experience in at least one of the following, with proficiency in all:
• API Development: Python, Node.js, Java, or .NET
• Experience in operations integration, including reporting and performance tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based deployment environments.
• Strong background in software engineering and solution architecture.
• Proven ability to design comprehensive technical solutions that align with business goals.
• Deep understanding of enterprise IT alignment and industry best practices.
• Experience in healthcare technology or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in:
• Business modeling
• Systems integration
• Strong communication, problem-solving, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead or mentor technical team members.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Education Requirements:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience, including:
• Three (3) years of technical experience
• One (1) year of leadership experience

OR

• Associate’s degree and nine (9) years of experience, including:
• Three (3) years of technical experience
• One (1) year of leadership experience

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a related technical or engineering field is preferred.
