Job summary

Magswitch seeks a Senior Technical Applications Engineer in Superior, CO to own end‑to‑end technical definitions for heavy lifting systems. You will coordinate with Sales, customers, and external engineers to scope, design, and validate complex material‑handling solutions.

You will lead engineering support, review drawings and FEAs, and ensure compliance with ASME BTH-1, B30.20, OSHA, and internal standards while coordinating across global teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Structural) and 7+ years in engineered-to-order equipment or heavy industrial machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and structural principles, load calculations, and safety factors.
• Experience applying ASME BTH-1, ASME B30.20, OSHA or similar standards.
• Ability to review CAD drawings, interpret FEA, and manage engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical system definition, standards, and lifecycle framework for HLS.
• Validate information gathered by Sales and confirm feasibility before engineering begins.
• Provide preliminary system sizing, feasibility assessments, and configuration recommendations.
• Support customer meetings, technical discussions, and proposal development as the primary HLS technical resource.
• Interface with external vendors on design, changes, and compliance.
• Translate requirements into structured engineering scopes for outsourcing partners.
• Develop technical proposals, customer presentations, and system demos for complex opportunities.
• Support Sales with technical validation, risk assessment, and solution alignment.
