Qualia is seeking a Technical Accounting and Special Projects Manager in Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA to own technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction support. The role partners with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and the Controller to ensure accurate disclosures and compliant reporting.

You will lead complex accounting topics, guide audits, and drive policy improvements with a strong emphasis on ASC 606 and ASC 805, leveraging AI tools to accelerate documentation and testing.

Formación

• 5+ years of accounting experience with CPA required.
• Big 4 public accounting or equivalent national firm experience required.
• Experience in SaaS/fintech/payments industries preferred.
• Technical knowledge of ASC 606 required.
• Working knowledge of ASC 805 required.
• Ability to research complex matters and advise leadership.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to lead ad-hoc projects.

Responsabilidades

• Research and document complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policy documentation.
• Own financial statements including footnote disclosures.
• Advise on topics including revenue recognition, equity transactions, debt modifications, business combinations.
• Lead annual financial statement audits and monitor new standards.
• Support monthly closes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Lead purchase accounting activities under ASC 805 and related memoranda.
