Qualia is seeking an experienced Technical Accountant to own GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and deal support through diligence to post-close integration. You will work with cross‑functional teams and report to the Controller, contributing to audits and policy implementation.

The role requires strong ASC 606/ASC 805 knowledge, 5+ years of experience, and Big 4 background. Based in Austin or SF with hybrid in-office requirements and competitive equity/benefits.

Formación

• 5+ years of accounting experience and CPA required.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• ASC 805 purchase accounting knowledge.
• Big 4 or equivalent national firm experience.
• AI-enabled documentation and testing experience

Responsabilidades

• Research and document complex accounting matters under US GAAP.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policy docs.
• Own financial statements including footnote disclosures.
• Support annual audits as a key contributor.
• Advise on revenue recognition, equity transactions, debt mods, business combinations.
• Monitor emerging standards and assess applicability.
• Lead monthly/quarterly close with technical accounting conclusions.
• Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and controls.
• Lead purchase accounting activities under ASC 805 for openings.
