Job summary

Cohen & Co is seeking a Senior Associate for the Office of the CFO to deliver outsourced accounting and technical guidance to clients across industries. You will prepare financial statements, manage reconciliations, and contribute to complex accounting memos and policy implementations.

The role emphasizes applying US GAAP, collaborating with leadership, and mentoring junior staff within a growing AAS practice and cross-functional teams. A CPA is preferred and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience, mix of public and outsourced accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; IFRS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform outsourced accounting functions for clients, including reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare financial statements in US GAAP (and IFRS as applicable).
• Assist with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) for public clients; draft technical accounting memos.
