Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Technical Accountant in Transaction Advisory who will provide expert accounting leadership across complex transactions and financing activities. You will translate commercial arrangements into audit-ready positions and support governance with rigorous documentation and collaboration across Finance, Tax, Legal, Risk, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification ideal but not required.
• Strong knowledge of Revenue Recognition, Financial Instruments, Derivatives, Leases, Customer Contracts, Consolidation and Business Combinations.
• Experience researching and documenting technical accounting positions with analytical, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to explain complex accounting concepts to technical and non-technical audiences across functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting advice on transactions, financing arrangements, acquisitions and restructurings.
• Assist in shaping business outcomes while ensuring accurate financial reporting and governance.
• Translate complex commercial arrangements into audit-ready accounting conclusions.
• Assess accounting outcomes under frameworks including revenue, financial instruments, derivatives, leases, and business combinations.
• Monitor emerging standards and contribute to accounting policy development across the organization.
