We are seeking a senior-level Technical Account Manager (TAM) with strong client-facing experience, some technical grounding, and deep financial services exposure in Charolette, NC or New York City surrounding area.
The Senior TAM is a trusted advisor and main point of contact for a portfolio of strategic customers. They blend relationship management, technical advisory, and industry domain expertise to help clients maximize value from SymphonyAI products. This is not a deep technical or engineering role; it’s for a strong communicator and customer advocate who understands the regulatory context, can guide issue resolution, and drive long-term success.
Job Description
Client Relationship & Success
- Own strategic relationships with 2–5 named accounts across Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks
- Develop account plans, lead QBRs, and manage client satisfaction and adoption
- Proactively identify risk to retention and expansion; escalate or intervene appropriately
- Lead Client Advisory Boards or Voice of Customer programs to improve feedback loops
- Encourage references, testimonials, and success stories through strong engagement
Implementation Guidance & Integration Support
- Serve as liaison for configuration/integration between SymphonyAI and customer ecosystems (banking, case management, CRM, etc.)
- Guide onboarding and upgrades—ensure customers are aligned to best practices
- Coordinate internal resources (Support, Product, PS) on customer initiatives
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
- Provide AML/Compliance guidance with respect to system configuration and reporting
- Stay current with regulations and help customers interpret requirements via our tools
Technical Communication & Escalation
- Manage high-severity incidents and escalations with urgency and clarity
- Analyze client usage patterns; spot anomalies or underutilization
- Work closely with Engineering/Support but do not act as Tier 3 resource
Reporting & Documentation
- Ensure clients can generate accurate and complete AML compliance reports
- Maintain account-level documentation, configuration logs, and engagement summaries
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in Technical Account Management, Customer Success, Program Delivery, or similar in Financial Services
- Background with compliance, AML, fraud, or transaction monitoring software
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and executive presentation skills
- Experience guiding deployments or managing post-sales enterprise software lifecycle
- Strong customer empathy and ownership; naturally proactive
- Familiarity with Java applications, databases, APIs, and cloud environments preferred
- Nice to have: CAMS certification, knowledge of FATF/FCA/FinCEN regulations
Technical Comfort Zone (should Be Familiar, Not Necessarily Expert)
- Containers (Websphere, Tomcat, JBoss), APIs (REST/SOAP), DBs (Oracle, Postgres)
- Messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ), Debugging and JVM tuning concepts
Additional Info
- Candidates must reside in Charlotte, NC or the Tri-State Area due to customer proximity
- Strong internal collaboration required (Support, Engineering, Sales, PS, Product)
- This role supports st rategic accounts but does not require deep hands-on coding
- Limited travel, mostly regional
Base Salary Range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000. This range reflects the expected minimum and maximum base salary for this position. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. The base salary is just one component of SymphonyAI’s comprehensive compensation package. Additional compensation includes eligibility for company bonus program, as well as a robust benefits package including health insurance coverage, Life and disability insurance,401(k) plan with employer matching, Paid holidays and Flexible Time Off Policy.
