Qualifications

Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
A minimum of 2.5 years, typically 3 or more years, of progressive underwriting experience.
CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks with qualitative and quantitative tools.
Must demonstrate comprehension of complex technical underwriting issues and be able to implement processes.

Responsibilities

Underwrites Middle Market technology accounts within established authority, making data-driven decisions on risk, coverage, terms, conditions, and pricing.
Evaluates technology-sector exposures including software, cloud, data centers, telecom, IP, and professional services.
Manages a portfolio of brokers, agents, and clients with strong market relationships.
Underwrites new business, renewals, and changes by analyzing financials, exposure data, loss history, risk controls, and dependencies.
Monitors portfolio performance, pricing adequacy, regulatory developments, and loss trends; recommends actions for profitable growth.
