Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• 2.5+ years, typically 3+ years of progressive underwriting experience.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate underwriting risks with qualitative and quantitative tools.
• Comprehension of complex technical underwriting issues and ability to implement processes.
• Proven track record of developing and underwriting profitable business.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites Middle Market technology accounts within established authority and makes data-driven decisions on risk, coverage, terms, and pricing.
• Evaluates technology-sector exposures including software, cloud, data centers, tech services, IP, professional services, and other risks.
• Manages a portfolio of brokers, agents, and clients, developing market relationships and representing Liberty Mutual.
• Underwrites new business, renewals, and changes by analyzing financials, exposure data, loss history, risk controls, and evolving tech dependencies.
• Monitors portfolio performance, pricing adequacy, regulatory developments, and loss trends; recommends actions for profitable growth and quality.
• Contributes to product development and department initiatives; collaborates with UW Support, Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, Product, Distribution, and leadership.
