Job summary

Dartmouth College seeks a Senior Business Development and Licensing Manager to oversee IP management and commercialization of research assets, focusing on engineering, physical sciences, digital, media, CS innovations, and AI-enabled assets.

You will build relationships with researchers and industry partners, support startup ventures, and advance entrepreneurship through licensing, negotiation, and strategic partnerships at Dartmouth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus relevant experience in academic tech transfer or business development.
• 7+ years in licensing and commercialization of IP assets with a proven track record.
• Knowledge of IP law, open-source protocols, and US regulations for academic tech transfer.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, market, and license Dartmouth discoveries and IP assets.
• Develop relationships with researchers and engage with industry partners.
• Support Dartmouth startups and advance entrepreneurship and translational efforts.
• Draft, negotiate, and structure licenses and term sheets.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technology Transfer and researchers.
