Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive technology transfer experience within a national laboratory or similar research environment.
• Experience evaluating scientific or software innovations for commercial viability.
• Experience developing licensing, option, research, and commercialization agreements.
• Hands-on experience with Bayh-Dole Act regulations and iEdison reporting.
• Ability to develop processes, templates, and governance for a technology transfer program.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the technology transfer program.
• Evaluate innovations for commercialization potential and manage invention disclosures.
• Oversee IP protection strategies, licensing opportunities, and market assessments.
• Negotiate technology transfer agreements and other transactions.
• Develop training programs and improve operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with Bayh-Dole and iEdison reporting obligations.
• Build relationships with researchers, legal, finance, and external partners.
