Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to lead strategic negotiations and provide business-focused legal guidance in Los Angeles. You will draft and negotiate technology agreements (SaaS, licensing, services) and partner with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Engineering to enable company objectives.

The role requires a J.D., 8+ years in tech transactions, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school; active U.S. state bar in good standing.
8+ years of experience in commercial transactions, especially in technology.
Strong experience with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
High integrity, professional judgment, and detail-oriented problem solving.
Proven relationship-building skills; trusted advisor to business partners across finance, procurement, product, engineering, security.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic legal negotiation and drafting of a broad range of commercial agreements focusing on technology (SaaS, licensing, services).
Design legal templates, playbooks, and cross-functional training to streamline operations.
Identify legal risks in commercial agreements and provide practical risk mitigation guidance.
Collaborate across legal and other functions to align with company objectives and regulatory mandates.
