Job summary

Okta's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team seeks a seasoned Category Manager (Technology Sourcing) to lead global tech spend sourcing, including Software, Network, SaaS, IaaS, and related categories. You’ll own sourcing strategy, drive high-stakes negotiations, and guide junior managers in a fast-paced, hybrid role based in Bellevue, WA or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years in Technology sourcing, including category management and strategic sourcing.
Proven ability to lead complex contract negotiations with tech terms.
Experience mentoring junior team members and building spend analyses.
Strong communication with senior stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead sourcing strategies for Technology categories with senior stakeholders.
End-to-end strategic sourcing: RFx events, evaluations, negotiations.
Negotiate project-level terms and support MSAs with Legal.
Identify cost optimization opportunities and mitigate risk across tech spend.
Build relationships with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy and stakeholders.
Own supplier relationship strategy and escalation for critical vendors.
Ensure governance and compliance; mentor junior team members.
Create data models and spend analyses to inform leadership decisions.
