Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Category Manager (Technology Sourcing) to lead global sourcing for our IT services and products. You will partner with technology stakeholders, shape strategy, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality and risk controls.

This role emphasizes negotiation, data-driven decision making, and mentorship of junior team members. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a hybrid schedule (2 days in the office) and report to the Senior Manager,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement of Technology (Infrastructure, SaaS, Telecom, IaaS, AI, etc.)
• Proven ability to independently lead complex contract and commercial term negotiations, including deep understanding of tech contract law
• Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end management of the most complex sourcing projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead sourcing strategies for Technology categories, working with senior stakeholders to understand long-term needs.
• Lead and support RFx events, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations for high-value technology sourcing initiatives.
• Negotiate commercial terms for project-level agreements and collaborate with Legal on MSAs and exhibits.
• Analyze spend and supplier data to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Build relationships with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy to align sourcing with business requirements.
• Own supplier relationship management for top technology vendors and provide mentorship to junior managers.
