Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Senior Technology Solution Consultant to translate business needs into documented functional and technical requirements, guiding reporting solutions across design, build, testing, and deployment. You will coordinate stakeholders, ensure feasibility, and support regulatory readiness.

You will leverage domain expertise to validate end-to-end design and enable change adoption across transformation programs, including the Customer Core initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a domain specific or system enabled or transformation role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise systems and systems enabled business processes.
• Advanced process and system thinking and functional solution literacy.
• Strong stakeholder alignment, requirements shaping and cross functional influence skills.
• Knowledge of integration points across business functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into documented functional and technical solution requirements and validate feasibility.
• Coordinate Business Data Owners, governance forums, architects, implementation partners, and delivery teams to guide governed reporting solutions.
• Validate functional design against end-to-end business processes, upstream/downstream impacts, and integration points.
• Lead reporting-outcome intake, prioritization, rationalization, and readiness across design, build, testing, migration, and deployment phases.
• Facilitate cross functional design decisions and ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
• Maintain reporting requirement traceability and coordinate validation, adoption, remediation, and operational-transition readiness.
