Job summary

Samsung SDS America seeks a dedicated Legal Counsel in Plano, TX to support technology and SaaS transactions from our in-house team. You will draft, negotiate, and manage complex contracts, advise on employment-law matters, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations to mitigate risk and enable business growth.

The role requires a J.D., Texas bar admission, 5+ years of transactional experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. required from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar admission or eligibility for in-house admission.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in transactional law.
• Experience with technology/SaaS contracts preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review high-stakes technology and SaaS agreements (SaaS licenses, MSAs, SOWs).
• Provide employment-law guidance and HR-related policy support.
• Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, and IT on deal structures and risk controls.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.
