Job summary

Samsung SDS America, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Legal Counsel specializing in technology and SaaS transactions to join our in-house legal team in Plano, TX.

You will provide comprehensive transactional support across contracts, corporate agreements, and employment law matters. The role requires five or more years of transactional experience, strong business-partner skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while advising HR, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• 5+ years of experience as practicing attorney with a focus on transactional work.
• Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and provide business-focused legal advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without restrictions for any employer.
• Must be able to commute to the office located in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

• Technology & Commercial Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes outbound and inbound agreements, including SaaS licenses, MSAs, and SOWs.
• Employment Law & HR Support: Advise HR on hiring, performance management, terminations, and workplace investigations; draft employment policies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Compliance, and IT/InfoSec on contracts and data privacy.
• Strategic Contribution: Participate in senior leadership meetings and lead or support special projects such as restructurings or international expansion.

Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA Accredited Law School
