Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, based in Plano, Texas, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive employment and labor law guidance across SEA and North America HQ divisions. You will handle agency matters (EEOC, DOL), pre-litigation negotiations, and oversee litigation and arbitrations, while advising HR on performance, discipline, leaves, and wage/hour compliance.

You will review letters and incentive plans, ensure compliance with FLSA and state/local laws, and counsel on

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Member in good standing of a US state bar; ability to become Texas bar member or qualify as in-house counsel in TX.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counseling and investigation support on employment and labor law compliance.
• Handle threatened litigation, negotiations with opposing counsel, agency charges, and supervision of litigation/arbitrations.
• Review and revise offer letters, agreements, and incentive plans.
• Counsel HR and affiliates on performance, discipline, terminations, wage/hour exemptions, leaves, benefits, and post-termination obligations.
