Job summary

Foundry Robotics seeks an experienced Talent Acquisition leader to engineer end-to-end hiring for mechanical, manufacturing, process, test, and quality engineers on site in Emeryville, CA. You will own the staffing agency relationship and define competency maps to raise interview quality and outcomes.

You will champion AI-enabled sourcing to multiply output and train non-recruiters to interview. The role demands a strong spine to push back on deadlines and ensure only qualified hires proceed,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical recruiting, including real time hiring mechanical, manufacturing, or quality engineers in hardware environments.
• You can discuss tolerance stack-ups, DFM, GD&T, EVT vs PVT build, and know when to ask for input.
• Managed a staffing agency relationship and improved it, including communicating quality concerns.
• Comfortable on a shop floor in steel-toe safety gear.
• Built competency maps and trained non-recruiters to interview effectively.
• AI-efficient in using tooling to multiply sourcing output rather than manual lists.
• Able to tell a leader under deadline pressure that this is a no-hire and stand by the decision.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring for mechanical, manufacturing, process, test, and quality engineering.
• Decompose each role into competencies with interviewing managers.
• Build and run interviewer training and calibration for manufacturing and mechanical loops.
• Own talent competitor analysis across contract manufacturers, hardware startups, aerospace, and automotive.
• Own the staffing agency relationship for hourly contract technicians: selection, rate negotiation, SLAs, scorecards, and quality standards.
• Define the screen, audit agency output, track 90-day retention, and replace the agency if quality falls.
