Job summary

Codeword, a remote-first PR and marketing agency with offices in NYC and SF, seeks a Senior Account Executive with at least 3+ years in tech PR. You will lead day-to-day client work, develop standout story angles, and cultivate relationships with reporters and analysts to drive measured earned media results.

You’ll work across up to six accounts, partnering with Strategy, day-to-day leads, and a VP, while using AI tools to boost efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tech (B2B and/or consumer).
• Able to spot media trends and translate to storytelling.
• Experience servicing a range of clients from startups to large enterprises.
• Strong media relationship building and sustained reporter engagement.
• Comfortable creating first-draft pitches and story angles without step-by-step guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day program execution across up to 6 accounts with Strategy team support.
• Build enduring relationships with journalists, creators, and analysts.
• Craft tailored pitches that translate complex tech into compelling stories.
• Secure earned attention across media verticals for clients.
• Manage speaking and awards submissions and event appearances.
• Attend trade shows and conferences representing Codeword.
• Support PR ROI reporting with Insights & Analytics team.
• Leverage AI to streamline workflows while maintaining high quality.
