Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture seeks an exceptional Head of Digital Rights to lead IP and Privacy Operations. This role sits at the crossroads of legal compliance, product architecture, and people leadership as the platform scales with new laws and intake channels.

You will direct a multi-pillar team, drive operational excellence, and partner with Legal, Policy, and Global teams to ensure timely, compliant outcomes while maintaining high morale and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or JD is a strong plus.
• Experience leading IP/Privacy operations and legal operations at scale.
• Strong understanding of U.S. copyright, DMCA-like processes, and privacy laws.
• Proven ability to modernize workflows and automate critical compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Bridge Product and Operations to ensure Operational Readiness before launches.
• Own intake design and routing for IP/IPR requests and data subjects.
• Automate workflows and modernize infrastructure while preserving auditability.
• Lead high-stakes IP and Privacy escalations for exec and counsel.
• Maintain high accuracy, quality, and speed across IP/Privacy queues.
• Refine SOPs to adapt to evolving copyright, privacy, and data-protection standards.
• Collaborate with USDS Legal, Policy, and Global teams for alignment.
• Mentor a multi-pillar team spanning IP and Privacy Operations.
