ManpowerGroup's client is seeking an Application Architect III in Addison, TX or Charlotte, NC. Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week. You will own end-to-end delivery, lead a small agile team, and provide architectural guidance for scalable, secure solutions.

You will design distributed systems and microservices, modernize legacy apps toward cloud-native approaches, and work with AI-assisted SDLC practices. Requires 12+ years in Java/Spring, Kafka, Oracle SQL, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience with Java and backend frameworks (Java 8/21, Spring Boot 2/3, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Batch).
• Strong architecture and distributed systems experience (HLD/LLD, microservices, event-driven, DDD, performance/concurrency).
• Proven experience with messaging technologies (Kafka/MQ).
• Hands-on Oracle SQL/PLSQL with Hibernate/JPA data access patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery while leading a small agile team of developers, testers, and a PO.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership including architecture guidance and implementation direction.
• Identify and remove roadblocks and ensure delivery aligns with stakeholders.

Job Title: Application Architect III

Our client is seeking a Application Architect III to join their team. As a Application Architect III, you will be part of the technology organization supporting delivery of end-to-end solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, the ability to guide architecture and design decisions, and a collaborative mindset that helps teams move quickly and safely through complex work.

Location:

Addison, TX (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week) or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week)

Pay Range:

$68-$73/hr

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, including architecture guidance, solution design, and clear direction for implementation.

• Modernize legacy systems toward cloud‑native approaches while applying sound engineering practices across the SDLC.

What's Needed?

• 12+ years of experience with Java and backend frameworks, including Java 8/21, Spring Boot (2/3), Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Batch.
• Strong architecture and distributed systems experience, including HLD/LLD, microservices, event‑driven architecture, domain‑driven design, and performance/concurrency considerations.
• Proven experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or MQ.
• Hands‑on database experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and related data access patterns (including Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience with Generative AI / Agentic AI concepts and AI‑assisted SDLC practices, including GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering.
