Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate in Technology Controls Testing within Enterprise Services Risk Operations. The role focuses on risk management across the Technology organization, collaborating with Enterprise Services, Divisional CIO, and Information Security teams to develop risk solutions that enable innovation while protecting customers and shareholders.

As part of the 1st line controls testing team, you will design/execute test plans, identify gaps, and clearly document findings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or military experience.
2+ years in technology (security, risk, auditing) and cloud/SRE environments.
Experience with cyber risk, IAM, cloud security, and data protection is preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply cyber best practices to assess current state, gaps, and cyber risk impact.
Define mitigation strategies, prioritizes and escalates recommendations.
Perform independent control testing activities and document results.
Communicate findings to stakeholders.
Project manage assigned engagements to meet timelines.
Establish and maintain relationships during testing engagements.
Execute tasks to deliver on team objectives.
Understand technology systems at a high level, including networks, apps, cloud computing, and data.
