Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Senior Team Leader to lead and coach a high-performing department team in a grocery environment.

The role emphasizes creating a respectful, inclusive culture while achieving sales and profit goals through strong people leadership and operational discipline. You will interview, train, and direct Team Members, manage budgets and inventory, and ensure safety and customer service excellence across the store.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership record with ability to coach and develop team members.
• Experience in grocery operations/retail or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret Profit and Loss statements.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train Team Members.
• Direct the work of Team Members and monitor performance.
• Appraise productivity and efficiency to inform promotions or status changes.
• Handle Team Members issues including complaints and conflicts.
• Discipline Team Members as needed to maintain standards.
• Plan and distribute work; schedule tasks efficiently.
• Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store.
• Manage department or location budget and inventory.
• Monitor compliance measures and implement improvements.
• Direct, oversee, and evaluate training to reduce turnover and labor costs.
• Provide motivational leadership and maintain an inclusive, respectful team environment.
• Communicate promotions and plans with merchandising and store teams.
• Review financial, inventory, and historical reports to drive sales and shrink control.
