Job summary

Andersen seeks a Senior Manager of Tax Transformation and Innovation to lead indirect tax automation initiatives and advisory work for client tax operations. You will assess processes, select tax engines, and guide implementation strategies within ERP environments.

The role requires deep knowledge of indirect tax and tax engines, with a focus on delivering high-impact automation across sales, use, and excise taxes. Collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• Advanced certifications preferred (CPA, PMP, vendor certs).
• 8+ years in indirect tax or tax technology advisory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct indirect tax process assessments and identify automation opportunities across sales tax, VAT/GST, and related domains.
• Evaluate tax determination engine vendors (Vertex, ONESOURCE, Avalara) for fit against client requirements and ERP setups.
• Lead vendor selection including RFPs, demos, accuracy testing, and ROI analysis.
• Design tax engine implementation strategies including data setup, configuration, integration, and testing plans.
• Create detailed requirements and technical specs for tax engine implementations.
• Develop implementation roadmaps with milestones, timelines, and resources.
