Job summary

BDO is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior in Core Tax Services to apply tax knowledge and research skills to identify issues, gather client information for filings, and assist in planning and risk communication. You may supervise Core Tax Services Associates and act as the main client contact for inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics; CPA or authorization to test preferred
• Three+ years of tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting
• CPA/EA or equivalent preferred; strong research and analytical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with tax research tools and tax software

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensure client compliance while minimizing tax burdens and ensure internal policy compliance
• Research: identify when research is needed and clearly report analysis
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: prepare provision workpapers and discuss with team
• Tax Consulting: assist with strategies to reduce client taxes and support projects
• Strategy Development: develop ideas to improve client positions and outcomes
• Supervisory Responsibilities: mentor and provide feedback to associates
