Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and deliver advanced training. You’ll interview clients, prepare tax returns, and contribute to business growth with a focus on client retention and additional services.

The role requires strong accounting/tax experience, virtual-interview capability, and adherence to IRS/state requirements. Franchise office operations and franchisee guidance apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is neither an offer nor a guarantee of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support; tax notice services and audit representation per certification levels
• Mentor and support teammates
