Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs under the guidance of a skilled team. You’ll receive advanced tax training and play a key role in delivering accurate returns and proactive tax advice.

In this role, you’ll interview clients face-to-face and virtually, prepare complete tax returns, and support business growth by increasing client retention and offering additional services. Franchise offices handle hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• Mentor and support teammates.
