Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own the income tax function, lead the tax provision for financial reporting, oversee return preparation with external preparers and internal staff, and coach a team of tax accountants.

You will also be accountable for continuously improving how the work gets done, including process design, quality, controls, risk, and service levels, while collaborating with auditors and management on tax matters across federal, state, and local

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a corporate environment.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge; advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop tax accountants through coaching, supervision, and feedback.
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision.
• Oversee federal and state income tax return calculations and filings.
• Review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions.
• Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities.
• Work directly with internal and external auditors.
• Research and deliver tax information requested by management and outside parties.
• Support related areas as needed, including sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, and incentives.
• Map, document, and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency, controls, and metrics.
