Job summary

Rea is a growing Top 100 business advisory & accounting firm specializing in tax, accounting, and business consulting. The Tax Senior Manager will lead client engagements on complex tax issues, ensure compliance, mentor staff, and contribute to business development.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive tax knowledge, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across state and federal tax domains. A CPA or equivalent credential is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field required.
• Master’s degree in business administration, Master’s degree in accounting or Taxation beneficial.
• Eight (8) or more years of prior experience
• Prior supervisory experience required
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) required

Responsibilities

• Ensures clients comply with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens and that staff comply with firm policies.
• Conducts top level review of tax issues and resolves issues with client; involves specialists where appropriate.
• Plans for early recognition of material tax and compliance issues and consults with client/partner as appropriate.
• Identifies when research is needed; frames issues to be researched; reports analysis clearly and concisely.
• Trains managers/senior staff on research skills and helps frame tax issues for analysis.
• Applies ASC 740-10 tax accruals; mentors staff; reviews tax provisions and related work papers.
