Whitley Penn is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our Tax department in a hybrid office environment. You will act as a liaison between the partner, the client, and the professional staff, overseeing multiple tax engagements and client relationships.

You will review and prepare returns (1065, 1040, 1120, 1120S), develop service plans with the team, manage risk, and mentor staff while contributing to practice development and revenue opportunities.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience in public accounting with increasing tax return complexity.
• Active CPA license.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and tax laws, regulations, and guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and develop staff.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as liaison between the partner, the client, and the professional staff.
• Manage multiple tax returns and client engagements; oversee relationships and engagement economics.
• Review and prepare 1065, 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions, and year-end projections.
• Develop client service plans with the team for engagements.
• Identify and research tax issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Delegate and manage examinations; may represent the client before tax authorities.
