Whitley Penn, a leading CPA and Consulting firm, seeks a Tax Manager to join our Odessa team. You will oversee multiple client engagements, supervise associates, review complex returns, and ensure tax filings meet deadlines with accuracy and integrity.

We value advanced technical skills, strong leadership and the ability to develop staff while delivering exceptional client service and value-added tax planning across diverse industries.

Formación

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise engagements.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all phases of engagements, supervise associates, manage client satisfaction and planning, scheduling and staffing.
• Review and/or prepare 1065, 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns, estimates, extensions and year-end projections.
• Review and/or prepare complex tax returns; perform tax review and approvals.
• Identify and research technical tax issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Ensure financial statements and tax returns are prepared to firm standards.
• Delegate and manage government tax examinations; may represent clients before tax authorities.
• Counsel clients with a consultative approach and identify value-added services.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients about engagement progress, issues, and resolutions.
