Whitley Penn is seeking a Tax Manager in a hybrid role in Austin, TX. The position oversees all phases of client engagements, staffing, and tax return preparation with strong supervision of associates. A CPA license and 5+ years of public accounting are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Public Accounting experience.
• Active CPA license.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assume responsibility for all phases of engagements, including supervision of associates, client satisfaction, planning, scheduling and staffing.
• Review and/or prepare 1065, 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns, estimates, extensions and year-end projections.
• Review and/or prepare complex tax returns and perform technical tax review and approvals.
• Research and apply tax laws to ensure federal, state, and local compliance.
• Manage client relationships and provide consultative services; identify value-added improvements.
