Wipfli is seeking a Tax Manager to lead and manage complex tax engagements in a dynamic firm. You’ll coordinate with clients and resources, review work products, and ensure timely service while maintaining high technical standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of tax experience, CPA licensure, and a background in high net worth taxation. This on-site role offers collaborative leadership opportunities and firm-wide initiatives involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA certification required in the state of practice.
• 5+ years of related experience in tax and accounting.
• High Net Worth individual tax experience is required.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
• Leadership and mentoring of staff are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance engagements within budget and deadlines.
• Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources.
• Serve as the main tax contact for clients.
• Ensure proactive client communications and timely service.
• Review tax work papers and provision calculations performed by others.
• Review tax returns, research, and other deliverables.
• Proactively communicate project status with clients and partners.
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and seniors.
• Participate in firm initiatives and projects.
• Maintain expertise in tax areas related to industry specialization.
