Salary: $125K-$180K base + bonus
We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax department. This role is designed for a "player-coach" who can oversee complex tax compliance, drive high-level tax planning initiatives, and mentor a professional team with a people-first environment.
Tax Compliance & Review: Oversee the preparation and final review of complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profits, trusts, estates, and non-profits.
Strategic Planning: Identify and implement sophisticated tax-saving strategies while ensuring full compliance with ever-changing legislative requirements.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals, providing regular performance feedback and technical guidance.
Advisory Services: Act as a key consultant for internal leadership or external clients on technical tax matters.
Risk Management: Maintain the firm's tax risk profile by ensuring accurate tax accounting (ASC 740) and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation (MST) is highly preferred.
Certification: Active CPA license is required.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, and multi-state tax regulations.
Communication: Ability to distill complex tax concepts into actionable business advice for non-tax stakeholders.
