Meadows Urquhart, a Virginia-based accounting firm, is seeking an experienced CPA leader to drive client tax and advisory engagements and to guide the firm’s growth trajectory. This role emphasizes client relationships, team leadership, and hands-on direction in projects.

You will supervise staff, manage deadlines and budgets, and act as a main advisor to clients while mentoring junior team members. A strong culture of development and community involvement is central to the firm’s ethos.

Competenze

• 5 years of relevant tax experience.
• 2 years of reviewing tax returns.
• CPA required.
• Partnership experience preferred.
• Industry experience in Real Estate, Construction, Financial Services, High Net Worth Individuals, or Entrepreneurial Services is a plus.

Mansioni

• Lead client tax and advisory engagements.
• Act as a team leader providing oversight for project outcomes.
• Set up and engage with teams and provide hands on direction.
• Plan and execute tax and advisory engagements, including managing deadlines and budgets.
• Supervise staff while ensuring technical compliance and timely service of delivery.
• Act as an influential component of the team, train and coach members, communicate feedback regularly to senior and staff accountants.
• Provide clear communication in setting expectations, identifying risk and managing project budgets.
• Manage client relationships, acting as the primary contact, managing expectations, and providing advice on accounting and business issues.
• Participate in special projects as necessary.
• Support senior mgmt. in pitching for new business and expanding existing client relationships.
