Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in the United States seeks a Tax Experienced Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on the tax implications of business objectives, manage tax compliance, and lead a team through complex issues. You will interact with federal/state agencies, develop tax strategies, and participate in leadership and business development within tax specialization areas.

The role requires CPA/EA or equivalent and 6+ years of tax experience, with strong analytical, communication, and supervisory

Qualifications

• Six (6) or more years of tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent ("EA") (or the equivalent of one of these designations), required
• Experience supervising staff required
• Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills
• Capable of developing and managing a team of tax professionals

Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance: ensures client compliance with authorities and minimizes tax and reporting burdens
• Research: identifies issues and frames research methodology for efficient process
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: applies firm policies and reviews tax provisions
• Tax Consulting: develops and implements efficient methods to maximize client benefits
• Tax Specialization: develops understanding of technical tax issues and areas of specialization
• Strategy Development: researches and implements tax strategies and improves past approaches
• Other duties as required
