Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a Senior Tax Manager in the East Valley area to supervise and mentor a small tax team and to review and sign federal and multi-state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. You will work closely with Tax Partners and Senior Managers to deliver high-quality client service.

The role offers growth toward Partner level, with a base salary of $140,000 to $175,000 annually, and requires a CPA with 10+ years of public accounting tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master's in Tax a plus.
• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, incl. 3+ years supervisory.
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service.
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

We are recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager with a growing CPA firm in the East Valley. This role will report to, and work closely with Tax Partners & Senior Managers, where you will be responsible for supervising & mentoring a small team as well as reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations. This is a great opportunity for a Tax Manager that wants to grow to the Partner level.

Base salary for this role is $140,000-$175,000.

Qualifications

• Batchelor’s degree in accounting required. Master's degree in Tax a plus
• CPA designation required
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues
