Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager in the East Valley (Tempe, AZ). You will supervise and mentor a small tax team and review and sign federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, trusts, individuals, and tax-exempt organizations.

This role reports to Tax Partners and Senior Managers and offers a clear path to partnership. Base salary ranges from $140,000 to $175,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Master's degree in Tax a plus.
• CPA designation required.
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service.
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a small team of tax professionals.
• Review and sign federal and multi-state tax returns for various entity types (C Corp, S Corp, partnerships, trusts, individuals, tax-exempt).
• Collaborate with Tax Partners & Senior Managers and drive timely, accurate deliverables.
• Stay current with tax law changes and proactively apply them to client work.
• Develop client relationships through proactive service and clear communication.

We are recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager with a growing CPA firm in the East Valley. This role will report to, and work closely with Tax Partners & Senior Managers, where you will be responsible for supervising & mentoring a small team as well as reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations. This is a great opportunity for a Tax Manager that wants to grow to the Partner level.

Base salary for this role is $140,000-$175,000.

• Batchelor’s degree in accounting required. Master's degree in Tax a plus
• CPA designation required
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns
