Job summary

BDO USA's Tax Senior, Customs & International Trade role focuses on applying research to identify trade issues and opportunities, advising clients across industries on import/export matters. You'll conduct international trade analyses, propose savings strategies, collaborate with firm specialists, and mentor associates, while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required.
• Two or more years of import/export trade consulting experience required.
• CPA, Attorney, EA or licensed customs broker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and review international trade advice related to HTS, regulations, NAFTA, entry processes and valuation.
• Research U.S. and international import/export trade matters.
• Identify opportunities for trade savings and present recommendations.
• Collaborate with Firm specialists and client service teams on engagements.
• Organize and conduct internal CPE training sessions in the area.
• Build relationships with BDO customs experts across jurisdictions.
• Draft tax alerts in international customs and global trade matters.
• Assist in managing client expectations.
