PayPal in San Francisco seeks a Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global information reporting compliance, including FATCA, CRS, CARF and 1099. The role partners with product, finance and legal teams to assess new products and changes for information reporting requirements and to craft defensible positions.

You will lead complex tax analyses, advise on risk, mentor junior attorneys, and help improve processes to meet evolving regulatory standards across multiple markets.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience and a JD degree required.
• Ability to independently manage significant tax matters and provide advisory support.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams on tax policy and risk mitigation.

Responsabilidades

• Independently advises on complex tax issues affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Develops and documents technical tax analyses supporting planning, reporting positions, and compliance.
• Partners with business units and Finance to structure initiatives tax-efficiently.
• Identifies tax risk exposures and recommends mitigation strategies.
• Coordinates with outside advisors and mentors junior attorneys.
