Job summary

MSIG USA, the US-based subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, is seeking a strategic Controller to lead Tax and Corporate Accounting. You will direct federal/state tax accruals, oversee statutory and GAAP reporting, and partner with executives to drive improvements across financial controls and regulatory compliance.

Applicants should have a CPA/CPCU or equivalent certification, 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, and at least 5 years in a leadership role within a P&C environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a property and casualty insurance environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in a management or officer role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage the Tax and Corporate Accounting functions.
• Direct the preparation of federal and state tax accruals for MSIGH companies and ensure accurate data supports tax compliance.
• Oversee Statutory financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, actuaries, and tax authorities; address findings and remediation.
• Develop leaders, build succession depth, and drive organizational capability.
