Job summary

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of tax compliance experience.
• Strong understanding of Tax Laws and Regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt to new technology.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with tax preparation software; CCH Axcess is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
• Respond to tax notices from various taxing authorities
• Prepare tax projections and assist with quarterly planning
• Identify tax savings opportunities and effectively communicate your ideas
• Assist with tax examinations, tax research and other projects, as needed
• Collaborate with tax team members and members from other service lines
• Identify and communicate process improvements
• Assist with training and supervision of junior staff, reviewing their work and providing timely feedback
• Contribute to a positive work environment
