Job summary

KSDT is seeking a Senior Associate in the Tax Department to provide consulting on business tax planning and compliance, review returns, and lead engagements with mentorship to staff. The role emphasizes client satisfaction, collaboration with partners, and ongoing professional development.

Locations include Miami, Sunrise, or Boca Raton, Florida, with opportunities to work across a growing practice backed by Ascend and strong resources for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a major in accounting.
• Masters in Taxation or LLM in Taxation a plus.
• Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
• Experience in tax provisions a plus.
• Ability to problem-solve and think creatively and logically.
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
• Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
• Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services and advice on business tax planning and compliance.
• Review tax returns from associates and interns and identify improvements.
• Assist Manager in running client engagements from planning to budget.
• Ensure client satisfaction through communication, deadlines, and tax savings strategies.
• Collaborate with Partners, Senior Managers, Managers and Staff on client management and development.
• Participate in client meetings and may lead meetings with smaller clients.
• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects.
• Attend professional development and continuing education sessions.
