Chawla & Chawla P.C. is seeking a Senior Tax Associate for our Gaithersburg, MD office. This full-time, in-office role offers a base salary with a performance bonus and extensive benefits, reflecting our client service standards and industry focus.

You will prepare and review federal and state returns for individuals and entities, mentor junior staff, and contribute to AI-assisted tax workflow initiatives. A CPA is preferred and U.S. work authorization is required.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a tax focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Direct experience with individual and business returns.
• Strong foundation in U.S. tax compliance and GAAP.

Mansioni

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns across multiple entity types, including individuals, partnerships, S-corps, trusts, and multi-state filings.
• Review work prepared by junior associates and provide actionable feedback.
• Manage IRS and state notices, audits, and client inquiries.
• Research tax issues and analyze the impact of new and proposed legislation.
• Participate in compilation and review engagements.
• Contribute to process improvements and AI-assisted workflow initiatives.
• Build deep knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to develop technical and professional judgment.
