Job summary

Corient Services LLC in New York seeks a tax professional with 4–6 years of experience in tax or family office practice, emphasis on individual and fiduciary matters. A Bachelor's in accounting is required, with CPA or MS in Taxation considered a plus. Proficiency in tax software is valued.

You will prepare and review work papers, support client requests, and help deliver integrated services to high-net-worth individuals and not-for-profit clients. Onsite four days per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • 4–6 years of related work experience in a tax or family office practice; emphasis on individual and fiduciary experience is critical; and other competencies including pass-through, gift tax or not-for-profit experience.
  • A commitment to learning and developing in an exacting tax environment within a growth business.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in compliance technology applications including Pro Systems, BNA Income Tax Planner and Microsoft products.
  • MBA or MS in Taxation is a plus; CPA or CPA exam parts passed preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess Tax and BNA Income Tax Planner is an asset.
Pay Information

This position is exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of New York. The pay range for this position is $103,000 – $130,000 USD per year.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible. This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Must work onsite 4 days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older, must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States, and must be willing to execute Corient’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non‑Disclosure Agreement.
