Job summary

Seidel Schroeder in Texas seeks a Senior Tax Associate to support senior leaders, deliver high-quality service to clients, and help manage engagements.

You will handle complex tax engagements, train and supervise staff, research technical issues, and develop expertise to review tax returns in your area. This role may involve local travel between firm locations and overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Prepare tax information submitted by client for completeness.
• Experience preparing personal, corporate, S-Corp, partnership and trust returns that are simple to moderately complex.
• Knowledge of tax regulations to answer client questions under supervision.
• Ability to perform additional duties as assigned.
• Conduct tax research projects requiring some expertise.

Job Summary

Seidel Schroeder seeks a dedicated Senior Tax Associate to support senior leaders, ensuring exceptional service and proactive client care.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for complex tax engagements.
• Train and supervise associates assigned to the engagement.
• Gain in-depth exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
• Research technical issues as they arise.
• Exercise professional judgment related to technical issues if needed.
• Develop an area of expertise and eventually review tax returns in their area of expertise.

Skills/Abilities

• Able to prepare tax information submitted by client for completeness.
• Experience preparing personal, Corporate, S-Corp, Partnership, and Trust returns that are simple to moderately complex.
• Possess knowledge of tax regulations in order to answer client’s questions that may arise under supervision.
• Able to perform such other duties as may be assigned.
• Able to perform tax research projects requiring some expertise.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a degree in another discipline with various course works in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level preferred.
• Experience working in a professional office is preferred but not required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
• Ability to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.

Travel

This role may entail local travel between Seidel Schroder locations.
