Global Partners LP is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Accounting team to prepare property tax declarations, bill-backs, and GL reconciliations.
You will review site summaries, assist with acquisitions and audits, and collaborate with departments and external contacts to resolve property tax issues.
Job Summary: The Senior Tax Analyst will be a critical part of the Accounting team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Property Tax. In this role, you will prepare property tax declarations, process bill backs of property taxes to dealers, agents, and tenants, and perform general ledger reconciliations of associated trial balance accounts. In addition, this individual will review site summaries for changes that impact property tax accounting. At Global Partners, business starts with people. Job Description: Prepare and/or review property tax compliance, including declarations. Prepare bill back of property taxes to dealers, agents, and tenants and the reconciliation of associated trial balance accounts. Review site summaries for changes that impact property tax accounting (terminations, purchases, sales, dealer/agent changes, etc.) Assist with integration of property tax accounting for new sites, including acquisitions. Track and process property tax bills for payments Prepare consolidated prepaid property tax reconciliations. Assist with property tax audits, including communication with auditors and responding to information requests. Obtain property tax workpapers and property tax assessment values and file appeals as needed. Assist with responses to internal audit requests. Prepare property tax pro-rates for Legal Department for site sales. Collaborate with internal departments as well as municipalities, landlords, agents, etc. to resolve property tax issues. Assist with special projects, such as 1099 data collection and property tax abatements.
Additional Job Description: Accounting and G/L experience, knowledge of PDI accounting system and Oracle Cloud preferred 3-5 years of experience in property tax compliance Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field preferred OneSource Property Tax System is preferred Team-oriented and collaborative Strong written communication skills Customer - focused mindset Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Strong accounting and math skills along with effective tax research skills
Pay Range: $89,700.00 - $134,600.00 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
