Job summary

Kaufman Rossin in New York seeks a Tax Financial Services Senior to deliver tax consulting and compliance for hundreds of funds with US and foreign reporting requirements. You'll help hedge funds minimize tax burdens, comply with regulations, and structure funds for optimal tax outcomes.

You will work with fund managers, attorneys, and client-financial teams, handling annual filings, tax research, and planning in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• CPA eligibility.
• 3–5 years of tax experience in financial services or funds.
• Strong knowledge of partnership tax accounting rules (hedge funds).
• Team player with attention to detail.
• Excellent client communication and executive presence.
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and preparing yearly tax filings for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Funds, and Funds' general partners and investment managers
• Performing security analysis and calculating various Fund tax adjustments
• Reviewing and preparing complex partner tax allocations
• Assisting Fund Administration business on resolving day-to-day tax issues
• Communicating with federal and state tax authorities, as needed
• Researching tax treatment of complex financial instruments and corporate actions of Funds
• Assisting in the tax planning for Funds, including structuring new Funds and optimizing existing Fund's tax strategies
